With "Heaven at Seven" as their anniversary theme, workers and members of the chapter started the celebration with a Thanksgiving Mass at the parish patio. The regular Believers Fellowship or prayer meeting followed, with Sis. Jenny Laquindanum, event moderator, welcoming members and guests to the festivities.
Selected members from the different ministries rendered special numbers, to the delight of the crowd. Members of the General Services Ministry spoofed the Bubble Gang hit, "Boy Pick-Up," while cluster heads of the Divine Mercy on the Block danced to "Kendeng Kendeng." Members of the Youth Ministry rapped and sang "Super Bass."
A powerpoint presentation of the chapter's activities in the past year was shown as members and guests led by the Bro. Rene Tumang, adviser-director of the community, partook of the food prepared by the various cell groups of the chapter.
As the anniversary fell on the last Thursday of the month, it also served as a venue to greet the birthday celebrators of the month, one of whom was the chapter's former head servant, Sis. Liza Guinto. Much to her surprise, selected worker sang to her "Because You Love Me."
An inspirational message from chapter head servant Sis. Shiela Aguila capped the celebrations. She said that
what the chapter has become of today is not a work of one but of everyone in the chapter, with the Heavenly Father as the guiding light.
Bro. Allan Tigue, assistant head shepherd of the community, was also present along with sis. Rose Minas of the Media Ministry.
