The Friends of the Divine Mercy has opened a new chapter in Tanjay, Negros Oriental after a Catholic Life in the Spirit Experience seminar was held there last Aug. 20-21.
The seminar, held at Brgy. Obogon, drew 42 participants from the town and neighboring Tanjay and Dumaguete City.
Elders of the community Bro. Rene Tumang, Bro. Lito Dawa and Bro. Allan Tigue flew in from Manila to help in the talks. Bro. Rene handled
Receiving God's Gifts and Baptism; Bro Lito, Salvation; and Bro. Allan, Growth and Transformation.
The other speakers were Bro. Noe Dura, Introduction, Praise & Worship and God's Love; and Sis Annie Alo, New Life.
Members of Friends Cebu led by Bro. Don Dawa and Sis. Joy Alivio helped facilitate the seminar.
The new chapter, to be assisted by Friends Cebu, will have its Divine Mercy on the Block (DMOB) every Thursday, same as in Cebu. It holds its Treasures every first Saturday of the month; Friends Cebu, every first Sunday of each month.
Friends Tanjay is the community's third chapter in the Visayas after those in Bacolod and Cebu City.
