Young Friends in Action (YFA) members learned to open themselves to God's blessings during the group's prayer meeting last August 21, 2011 at Layforce Bldg, San Carlos Formation Complex, Guadalupe, Makati City.

Bro. Cris Javier, guest speaker on the topic "Openness to God's Blessings," shared that the key to feel God’s blessings is to always be grateful with whatever conditions one encounters in his life, especially as youth. He said that being open to God’s love and to the Holy Spirit will help a person bring out a grateful heart that focuses on what is good.

Bro. Cris also reminded the youth members of Mark 7:33-34 : “And He took him aside from the multitude, and put His fingers in his ears, and He spat and touched his tongue. Then, looking up to heaven, He sighed, and said to him, 'Ephphatha,' that is, be opened.”

The youth prayer meeting was celebrated with a Filipino theme in celebration of our “Buwan ng Wika.” All attendees wore their best Filipino attire. Sis. Rose Balagtas and Bro. Julius Aquino served as moderators. Sis. Fritz Suson led the joyful dance and Mariefil Terce, praise and worship.
