Friends-Las Pinas turns 6 Featured

Friends-Las Piñas celebrated its 6th anniversary last May 20, 2011 at Holy Spousal's Hall, Parish of the Five Wounds of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Las Pinas with the theme, “Working Joyfully and Fruitfully @ 6.”

The celebration started with a joyful song led by Sis. Jenylyn Zuñiga, together with the Dance and Music Ministry. Sis. Peng Palmera, head servant of Friends Las Piñas, led the community in a praise and worship. Then, Fr. Juper Lopez, acting parish priest at Five Wounds, and Fr. Donato Ludovice, as well as the guests who came to celebrate with the chapter, delivered their messages.

Sis. Eldee and Bro. Mon Balmaceda facilitated a "Bring Me" game. After the fun and laughter, members of Young Friends in Action-Las Pinas and Catholic Life in the Spirit Experience Seminar Batch 13 presented back-to back dance numbers.

Then, guests and members took part of the dinner served by the Food Ministry, led by Sis. Sonia Balite. As the community was busy with the meal, the granddaughter of Sis. Carmen Canon serenaded the group with a song number. Sis. Eldee Palma and Bro. Bryan Padilla showed their talent in dance interpretation of the song “The Prayer.”

An audio-video presentation of the past activities and events of Friends- Las Piñas delighted the crowd.

Bro. Rene Tumang, founder and director of Friends, delivered an inspirational message. As a response to that, Sis. Peng shared her message of gratitude to everyone, especially to the Lord.

Guests included Sis. Miles and Bro. Eric Wee, Sis. Honey and Bro. Waldee Oasan, and Sis. Rose Minas.
