The Friends of the Divine Mercy joined the Catholic Church in the celebration of the Mercy Sunday on May 1, 2011 with its own feast held at Layforce Chapel, San Carlos Seminary, Guadalupe, Makati.

More than 700 members and their families and friends, and Divine Mercy devotees from the different chapters and outreach communities joined in the half-day festivities.

Fr. Jerry Orbos, SVD delivered a talk, "Embraced by God's Mercy," highlighting God and Mama Mary's love for us. Fr. Toti San Pedro, SDB led in the Eucharistic Thanksgiving Mass.

FRIENDS launched its 79th Divine Mercy on the Block cluster in Daanghari, Navotas with an enthronement of the DM image in the Gaspar household along Champaca street last Nov. 13. 

The opening of the new cluster was organized by its Cluster Head, Sis Mel Valencia in coordination with Malabon Chapter Head Servant Sis Donna del Rosario. Also present in the occasion was the DMOB Coordinator for CAMANAVA , Sis. Dal Lipayon and other workers from FRIENDS Malabon. 

Daanghari, Navotas 2, which is the 2nd DMOB cluster in the Navotas area,  will be having their weekly enthronement every Sunday at 3 pm.  

The Friends of the Divine Mercy launched its Divine Mercy-Corporate in Manila on Jan. 27, 2012, with the enthronement of the Divine Mercy image at Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center in Malate.

Sis. Dina Balicanot, who heads the community's Divine Mercy Apostolate, the unit in charge of the propagation of the devotion, led other members in the delivery of the image at the lobby of the hospital. Fr. Albert Adison, hospital chaplain, helped receive the image together with some staff, while Dr. Janet del Mundo-Tan, hospital director, also welcomed the community and the image to the medical center.

Sis. Dal Lipayon introduced the devotion to the hospital staff, patients and their families after a Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Albert. They were taught the mission of the apostolate, the basics of the devotion and the Divine Mercy chaplet. The image will stay at the hospital for one month.

The Divine Mercy-Corporate Manila is the community's fourth after the ones in Camanava (Caloocan-Malabon-Navotas-Valenzuela area), Philippine National Police headquarters in Crame, Quezon  City, and San Juan/Mandaluyong.

The Divine Mercy-Corporate program aims to introduce the Divine Mercy devotion to offices and institutions, complementing the Divine Mercy on the Block, which targets households in different communities in the Philippines and abroad.

After four months at Malabon City Hall, it was time for Navotas City Hall to welcome the Divine Mercy image last Feb. 3.  This is part of the continuing DMOB Corporate program of the Friends of the Divine Mercy.

Pastora Ursal, the head of tourism of Malabon, expressed her gratitude for the four months' stay of the image there. According to her, many people were blessed, including the staff and ordinary people who dropped by the city hall to touch the image while saying a prayer.

DMOB Builders Sis. Dal Lipayon and Bro. Cris Javier introduced the devotion and the community profile, respectively to the staff of Navotas City Hall.

Jennifer Serrano, tourism head of Navotas, read the "Panalangin ng Pagtanggap." A first Friday Mass followed the enthronement.

The Divine Mercy on the Block launched its second corporate enthronement at New  Malabon City Hall in San Agustin, Malabon City on Sept. 5, 2011.

The Divine Mercy image, measuring 4 ft. x 6 ft., was prominently mounted at the spacious lobby of the newly constructed eight-storey building. Pastora Ursal of the tourism division received the image with her staff.

As part of the image's arrival, a briefing was given to the focal points of the various offices.  Bro. Cris Javier opened with an introduction of the community's profile, followed by Sis Dal. Lipayon who gave a briefing on the history and elements of the Divine Mercy devotion.  The City Hall staff were given their respective assigned schedule for the daily 3 o'clock prayer and Chaplet of the Divine Mercy.

Also present during the enthronement were Friends of Divine Mercy Head Shepherd Bro. Lito Dawa; Friends Malabon formators, area and cluster heads; and this writer, Divine Mercy Apostolate supervising elder.

The DMOB Corporate is a propagation program of the community whereby the Divine Mercy image is enthroned at the lobbies of various establishments and government offices for a month-long visit. (Sis. Dina Balicanot)
